Maybe it's improved to be more like wavelab/audition. I might try DSP Quattro 5 as well, but I hated the way the scrolling and selection of audio worked in V4. PS FWIW, a quick and cheap and highly stable editor is Twisted Wave.That's the one I use for now as it's the best of the reasonably priced ones by far. And since adobe audition is 30 bucks a month and installs so much adobe cloud junk you wouldn't believe it if you didn't see it (4 permanent resident processes with each restart of the computer!), I will download the demo. much clarity from a bad recording as you can goes, Soundsoap was the option. Since wavelab costs 4x as much here (959 AU or something stupid like that), I will download the trial. I use something called Bias Sound Soap which aint cheap and still wouldnt. Since it's compatible with High Sierra, and I will not leave High Sierra till my imac Pro physically dies and I need a new mac, I will download the trial.
